Deception
Starts with little lies
then total falsehoods
gritting through teeth
and nostrils flared
each covering up the other
and then it becomes unbelievable
or silence breaks
the delicate dance
distrust encompasses feelings
nothing will ever be the same again.
Not Really
not really sad
but there’s a lot
of pent-up emotion
not really intense
bur there’s too much
in the head
not really serious
but swaying
on a thin line
on the verge of…
…not really sure.
D-words
I am detached
I start to digress
I cannot determine
I cannot detect
I am left desolate.
Look into the mirror
Look into the mirror
& I can see
What I am
& What I can be
A ray of hope
A shooting star
but a feeling that
some dreams are too far
Look into the mirror
I am in a daze
so foggy, unclear
so full of haze
It can be vague
or just right there
Don’t really know…
I just stand and stare.
Robyn and Rayn
I have 2 friends
Robyn and Rayn
one sings of joy
& the other pours out pain.
Take Me Away
There are others
who are better
Feels so stupid,
waiting for a chance
I’ve spread my wings as far as
they could go
No flight.
Take me away
to a meadow
of gems and joy
Take me away
to dreamland
can anyone understand?
Keeping up the façade
of a happy girl
but inside
crumbling…
…a slow kill.
Hey Little Maiden
Hey little maiden,
why are you hidden?
behind openly
closed doors
look beyond
look at what the world
stores
For you, for me
without cliche
it’s up to you
to perceive it your way
Perhaps some are better
but be a trend-setter
Hey little maiden,
there’s a little space
for you.
A girl in the world
A girl in this world
four walls
forever.
Longed for lazy adventure
wanted to open gates
by sitting at her place.
She was not fatigued
Lord, mercy her.
her mind was a place
of condemn &
contempt
Her ramblings were like
feet skipping lost stones
in a timeless forest
She was practical and poetic
and wanted to prove
she was more than just
Some girl in the world.
Reflect
There was once a girl
an ordinary girl
an extraordinary thinker
known for nothing
ordinary or
extraordinary
sea of reflections
only in her head
not a word she thought
escaped her lips
but others did instead
She did not speak what she thought
nor did she think what she spoke
the simply complex head was her
sanctuary
word played
actions played
Her world played
only in her head
She sought every moment
for release
but pursed her lips every
time.
She was stuck in a mist
of unspoken thoughts
underneath a pool of reflect.
